Man arrested after alleged road rage incident on I-94 in Porter County

A Valparaiso man was arrested after an alleged road rage incident on I-94.

The incident happened just before 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10 on the interstate in Porter County when police say the suspect, Steven Krucina, 31, was cut off by another driver.

In response, Krucina displayed a handgun and pointed it at the other driver. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

Troopers caught up with Krucina and initiated a traffic stop for speeding on I-80 near Burr Street. Further investigation revealed Krucina was in possession of a loaded Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun.

Krucina was transported to Porter County Jail where he was charged with pointing a firearm, a Level 6 felony.
