Pro Second Amendment Group Advocates for Berrien County Sanctuary

An organization in Michigan is looking to designate Berrien County as a 2nd Amendment sanctuary.

The aptly named “Michigan for 2A Sanctuary Counties” presented a resolution directly to county commissioners earlier this week. Officials with the organization tell WSBT say they are fed up with the push for new gun laws. Per a statement from the group their proposal appears to have at least some support as the council is talking to the prosecutor and sheriff before they make a decision.

The group’s Facebook describes themselves, in part as “A Statewide effort that will organize each County in Michigan to submit a resolution to force our elected officials to acknowledge our 2nd Amendment rights”.

The page has more than 85-thousand members.
