Missing Notre Dame student’s body pulled from lake on campus

The body of a Notre Dame student who was reported missing was pulled from St. Mary’s Lake on the Notre Dame campus.

The discovery and recovery of Annrose Jerry, 21, took place around 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, less than a day after a statewide Silver Alert had been issued.

Rose hadn’t been seen since 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The St. Joseph County Coroner made positive identification at the scene and stated her body revealed no apparent signs of trauma according to Notre Dame News.

Rev. John Jenkins, President of Notre Dame, offered his condolences and prayers to Jerry’s family, according to Notre Dame News.

The University Counseling Center and Campus Ministry has offered support to members of the Notre Dame family.

A mass in Jerry’s memory will take place at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart early next week, Notre Dame News reported.
