Man arrested after after threatening a police officer in South Bend

A patient from Memorial Hospital in South Bend was arrested last week after threatening an officer following his discharge.

Investigators say Calvin Grayson was told that he needed to leave the hospital, but refused.

When an officer showed up to escort him out he continued to demand a doctor.

Minutes after being escorted out he returned the building an engaged the same officer again.

It was during the confrontation that Grayson made a threat toward the officer and began reaching into his pockets.

When he was arrested, police found a knife in his pocket.
