A man suffered serious injuries after the aircraft he was piloting crashed into a lake near Paw Paw.

It happened early Friday night, Feb. 14, at Ackley Lake.

Bystanders were able to help the unconscious man who was submerged in water after the crash, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The 46-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
