Benton Harbor begins decision process for medical marijuana facilities

Those hoping to open medical marijuana facilities in Benton Harbor began the application process Wednesday.

The City Commission heard from those hoping to open facilities in Benton Harbor, which will open no more than four facilities.

WNDU reports that seven or eight companies are hoping to get one of those spots. Applicants are being scored on a number of criteria, including ties to the area, plans to help grow the local economy, and more.

Candidates will learn their scores at a date to be determined.
