George Zimmerman, who shot and killed Trayvon Martin in 2012, is suing Democratic presidential candidates Pete Buttigieg and Elizabeth Warren for $265 million, claiming they defamed him in tweets.

The lawsuit says Buttigieg and Warren defamed Zimmerman for political gain in misguided and malicious attempts to bolster their standings with black voters, according to Fox News.

The tweets were posted earlier this month on what would have been Trayvon Martin’s 25th birthday.

Neither tweet mentions Zimmerman by name. Zimmerman was found not guilty after claiming he shot Martin in self-defense.
