Ground broken on Main library branch expansion

The main branch of the St. Joseph County Public Library has broken ground on its future.

Ground was broken Friday morning at the site of the $38 million expansion and renovation project. Its a partnership between the library, the Community Foundation, and The City of South Bend.

The main building will be completely renovated and a new 3-story Community Learning Center will be built, along with an outside courtyard and more.
