South Shore to expand bike-friendly program

The South Shore Line has expanded the weekly schedule for their Bikes on Trains program.

By popular demand, the schedule has expanded to 18 of the weekday trains. It could result in a boost to local tourism, as the South Shore says the expanded program will especially appeal to not just those who travel to work by train and bike, but also to those who seek to ride the bike trails of Northwest Indiana.

Bike-friendly cars are available on select trains from April to October.

You can find a timetable at South Shore depots, and online.
