Report: Cable bills now higher than all utilities, combined

How much are you paying for cable? If you are like the rest of the country it may be more than all your other utilities combined.

Research from decisiondata.org found that the average American is now spending around $217 a month for their cable package. That generally contains some combination of TV, internet, and phone service. That number was higher than the national average of all utilities combined, which was about $205.

They say costs are likely to continue to rise annually for the foreseeable future. You can read the full report here.
