More sports cancellations in the wake of the coronavirus

Thursday afternoon a number of sports seasons were cut short, one day after the NBA announced the suspension of their regular season.

The Indiana High School Athletic Association announced that they are limiting the number of spectators who can attend postseason tournaments. The IHSAA says attempts will be made to televise as many of the remaining games as possible.

In Michigan, all High School Basketball Tournament games have been cancelled as of Thursday afternoon.

Major League Baseball has announced that they are suspending all operations and likely delay the start of the 2020 season due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Big Ten Conference joined the list of NCAA Basketball tournaments that have been cancelled due COVID-19. The Big 12, AAC, SEC and MAC tournaments have suspended their play as well.

Major League Soccer said Thursday that they would suspend play for 30 days.
