Indiana DWD creates coronavirus unemployment resource website

Indiana’s Department of Workforce Development has launched a website to provide resources for Hoosiers who may have lost — or will lose — their jobs due to the coronavirus.

To be eligible for Unemployment Insurance you have to be able, available and actively looking for work. If you become ill from the virus or are quarantined from contact with a sick person, you cannot collect U-I.

How am I supposed to fill out a voucher saying that I’m looking for work when my business was shut down because it’s nonessential? Do I have to actively look for an “essential” job?
