Mishawaka Police asking for help finding suspect in Battell Street shooting

Mishawaka Police are asking for help from the public regarding a shooting that happened late last week.

Officers were called around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, to the 500 block of West Battell Street. That’s where they found a man who had been shot in the groin, according to the South Bend Tribune.

The victim told police he was getting out of his car when two men approached and demanded money, the Tribune reported.

They got into a fight and which ended with gunfire. Anybody with information is asked to contact contact Mishawaka Police at 574-258-1684 or Michiana Crime Stoppers at 574-288- STOP.
