Police in LaPorte are investigating the shootings of two people Saturday night.

It happened around 7 p.m. in the 1400 block of Jefferson Avenue. Police were called to the area and found a disturbance involving a large group of people. State Police assisted in breaking up the scene.

The LaPorte County Drug Task Force is aiding the investigation. No information has been given about the two people who were shot, or their conditions.
