South Shore Line to join in national #SoundTheHorn campaign Thursday

Transit agencies across the nation will join together to #SoundTheHorn this Thursday, and the South Shore is taking part.

The #SoundTheHorn campaign was designed to salute transportation workers, and other essential workers, across the country.

At 2 p.m. CST (3 p.m. EST) Thursday, an anticipated 4,400 trains, buses and ferries will participate by sounding their horns to honor the heroic actions of those working the front lines of the ongoing pandemic.

Anyone who sees or hears horns tomorrow during this time is encouraged to use the hashtags #SouthTheHorn and #SSL to post audio and video on social media.
