The School City of Mishawaka is looking into their plans to reopen their schools.

Looking ahead to the future reopening plan was one of several topics discussed during a virtual meeting on Wednesday. WNDU reports that board members were given a plan outlining how they can reopen while following the national, state and local guidelines.

On Monday, May 18 all maintenance and custodial staff will resume working on-site with a modified schedule. Limited re-entry for teachers and support staff will follow on May 20.

Discussions about future operations, including athletics, are still ongoing — but a physical graduation ceremony is planned for late July.
