Three arrests in two separate incidents for LaPorte County Sheriff bookends holiday weekend

It was a busy holiday weeked for law enforcement in LaPorte County starting with the arrest of two people they say are tied to an organization that has been selling heroin in the area. The arrests happen on Friday May 22nd.

The two suspects have been identified as Eric Betton on Michigan City and Bryan Wells of Chicago. Both are facing felony dealing charges. No additional information was released about the organization that they have been investigating.

Then on Monday the department arrested a man that was attempting to break into a motel room with a knife.

Why the man was attempting to break into the room is unclear, but 34 year old Javier Noyola is now facing a preliminary charge of intimidation. They say he had a 12 inch serrated blade as he was trying to gain entry.
