Suspect arrested, victim recovering after shooting in Benton Township

One man is recovering and a second person has been arrested after a shooting in Berrien County.

Benton Township Police Officers were called around 3 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, to Spectrum Lakeland Hospital regarding a shooting victim.

Thee shooting happened at Ravine View Estates in Benton Township. The 34-year-old man suffered injuries to his hands and pelvic area.

Officers were able to locate the suspect and took him into custody on preliminary charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and felonious assault.
