A 46-year-old man has been arrested after a four-month investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine in Berrien County.

William Harden was taken into custody earlier this week. He’s accused of distributing the drug in Benton Harbor and Benton Township.

Berrien County drug investigators say Harden tried to take off on foot during his arrest but was detained a short time later.

A search of a hotel room where he was staying led to the discovery of narcotics and paraphernalia.

Harden is charged with delivery and possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver that and crystal meth and obstructing police.
