The search for a missing swimmer in Starke County’s Bass Lake came to an end early Friday morning, June 5, when his body was found by a fire department dive team.

The body of 37-year-old Anthony Cohn was found just afer 6 a.m., according to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

Cohn was last seen Tuesday while swimming after a boat that began to float away from a sandbar.

Witnesses said Cohn entered deep water, went under the surface, and did not resurface.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Starke County Coroner’s Office.
