Friday, Senator Todd Young will be in Michiana talking about the Great American Outdoors Act, a piece of legislation that passed in the Senate earlier this week.
Young says the outdoor recreation industry generates more than $15.7 billion in consumer spending in the state, and supports 143,000 jobs. Many of those are in Elkhart County, the RV Capital of the World.
His visit begins with a tour of maintenance projects at Indiana Dunes National Park in Chesterton at 9:30 a.m followed by an RV Industry Roundtable discussion at the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart at 1 p.m.
