A 36-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Elkhart.

Police were called around 8:25 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, to the 1500 block of Laurelwood Drive where they found the victim, who was later pronounced dead.

Detectives from the Elkhart County Homicide Unit are investigating the case.

There is no word of any arrests.

Police also say there is no immediate threat to public safety.
