One injured in Monday morning crash in Cass County

(Cass County Sheriff's Office)

A New York resident was injured in a crash with a Marcellus woman in Cass County Monday morning.

Sheriff Richard Behnke says it happened at the intersection of Penn Road and Dutch Settlement, shortly before 7 a.m.

The out of state driver, a 20 year-old man, collided with an ongoing vehicle driven by a Marcellus woman. She and her preschool-aged child were treated at the scene and released. The other driver was transported to Borgess Hospital in Dowagiac. His condition is unknown ad the case remains under investigation.

Alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
