South Bend man sentenced to 10 years on drug charges

A South Bend man has learned his fate after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute heroin.

Isaiah Whitmore, 27, is charged with knowingly and intentionally conspiring to distribute heroin between March and October 2017.

Whitmore, along with other co-defendants, shared at least one cell phone which was used to arrange heroin sales. Members of the group would receive the phone, along with multiple pre-packaged baggies of heroin. Buyers would call, and whichever member of the group had the phone would arrange the transaction.

Whitmore was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release.
