Man robbed, shot on Notre Dame Avenue near campus

There has been two shootings reported within two days near the University of Notre Dame.

The latest incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, July 13, in the 1100 block of North St. Peter Street.

The victim was on Notre Dame Ave. south of Napoleon Street when two male suspects approached him in a vehicle and demanded his belongings, according to investigators.

One of the suspects shot the man in the arm.

On Sunday, a man was shot in a robbery attempt in the 900 block of Corby Boulevard.

No word whether police think the incidents are connected.
