The South Bend Schools will offer a Spanish-English dual language immersion magnet program for Kindergarten through 2nd grade.

The program will allow native Spanish and native English speakers an opportunity to maintain and develop their first language while becoming highly proficient in a second.

The school corporation says the 50-50 language model was selected to offer equal support for both sides.
