A crash Tuesday morning on US 20 resulted in injuries near Rolling Prairie.

It happened at 10 a.m. in the 5400 east block of the highway, just west of the Oak Knoll Road intersection.

Emergency responders said a vehicle pulled into the path of a semi traveling west on 20. Both vehicles left the road.

It took crews 45 minutes to extricate the driver of the smaller vehicle, who was airlifted to South Bend Memorial. Their condition is unknown. A passenger in that vehicle was also injured and transported.

INDOT had to close US 20 in both directions for about three hours while crews worked the scene, and for the helicopter.
