An autopsy is set for Monday, Aug. 3, after a 35-year-old man was found dead in an alley in the 1400 block of Marine Street in South Bend.
The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit was called to the scene around 8:45 a.m. on Friday morning.
The victim has been identified as Derek Dekker of South Bend.
Investigators say there were no obvious signs of a cause of death, but there is some concern Dekker may have died elsewhere and then been moved to the alley.
