Rescue workers were called to respond in LaPorte County Monday after an empty dump truck crashed into Miller’s Flea Market.

It happened shortly before 11 a.m. Central Time on Monday in the 7000 South block of US 6 & 35 near Kingsbury.

Firefighters spent about 15 minutes extricating the driver from the truck. The driver did not appear to be seriously injured, and there’s no word on why he lost control, crossed the highway, and struck the building.

Police say no one was in the building at the time of the crash.
