A South Bend man has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for drug and weapon charges.

Thursday, a District Court Judge sentenced 35 year-old Christopher Kinds to 192 months in prison, followed by 2 years of supervised release. This followed a guilty plea to charges of possessing more than 500 grams of meth with intent to distribute, and possessing firearms after a felony conviction.

Kinds was a previous multiple felon before this case.

Investigators searched his home and storage units in September 2019 and found meth, heroin, cash, and more than 35 firearms.
