Purdue football coach Jeff Brohm released a detailed plan that he believes would allow Big Ten schools to play football in the spring.
His proposal calls for a total of 18 games in 2021, starting with an eight game spring season starting in late February. That season would run through mid-April with a two-week postseason in early-to-mid May.
The fall campaign would begin the first Saturday of October, and only one padded practice per week would be allowed for the entirety of 2021.
Brohm’s comprehensive plan also calls for additional rest periods that do not typically exist between seasons.
