St. Joseph, Elkhart Counties’ jobless rates continue bounce back

The local unemployment snapshot shows Michiana continues to be on the rebound from the depths of the coronavirus pandemic.

The jobless rate in St. Joseph County is at 10.2% for July. That’s down from 13.3% from June.

In Elkhart County, the rate is at 8.1%, down from 10.7% in the previous month.

Both figures are still above the statewide average of 7.8%.
