Elkhart woman sentenced in child abuse case

It was back in March of 2018 that police were called to an apartment in Nappanee for a child in need of medical attention. What they found was a young child that had pieces of his scalp missing, visible injuries to his face, multiple breaks in both arms, and broken arm sockets. They say he was also underweight and malnourished.

43-year-old Jammy Stacy was given the maximum sentence for the neglect charge against her. The child’s biological mother left him with Stacy for five months straight before police were called.
