Next chance to walk on Ball State graduation stage will be in spring

No one will walk across the stage with a cap and gown at Ball State University until the spring.

Ball State has officially postponed all commencement ceremonies until May of next year.

There was a plan for graduates to get their diplomas in ceremonies in both October and December this year. Unfortunately, Ball State University President Geoffrey Mearns says the state’s ban on crowds of more than 250 people makes it impossible to host a graduation ceremony.

The Class of 2020, which was supposed to graduate a few months ago is being invited to be a part of the ceremony for the Class of 2021 next May.
