Teenage girl pulled from Lake Michigan at Weko Beach has died

A teenager who was pulled from Lake Michigan on Sunday has died.

Bridgman police say the 14 year-old Illinois girl died at a hospital in Grand Rapids.

The Bridgman Police Department responded to a possible drowning at Weko Beach shortly after 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sep. 13.

She had been pulled from the water by bystanders who began CPR.

Another girl was able to make it back to shore and did not require any medical assistance.
