Quick work to put out structure fire in Cassopolis early Sunday morning

Fire crews in Cass County were called in the early morning hours to put out a house fire.

The blaze was reported around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sep. 20 at 1st and Graham Streets in Cassopolis.

On arrival, crews saw smoke and fire were coming out of the attic.

It took just 15 minutes to douse the fire.

Two people in the home got out safely but many of their possessions were lost, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.
