South Bend’s annual Holiday Ornament Contest is now underway.

South Bend Venues Parks & Arts’ (VPA) annual contest is intended as a way to promote the City and to generate funds for parks, public spaces and community events.

Chosen art will be featured as the VPA Foundation’s annual holiday ornament, which will be sold in the retail kiosk inside the Howard Park Event Center and online.

This year’s theme is focused on the Morris Performing Arts Center. Ornament submissions must embody the spirit, physical likeness and name of the Morris to qualify.

Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. EST on October 19. Final selection of this year’s chosen piece will be announced on October 23 via email and social media.

From the link: “7. Submissions do not need to be holiday themed and should not be religious.”

This is the opposite of inclusion, isn’t it?

Happy Holidays!
