Fighting Irish postpone game vs. Wake Forest

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

The University of Notre Dame announced Tuesday afternoon that the scheduled game with Wake Forest for September 26 has been postponed.

This announcement followed the cancellation of practice on Tuesday and the announcement of seven additional positive COVID tests on the team on Monday. There are currently 13 players in isolation, and 10 in quarantine.

The ACC and Wake Forest were notified and the rescheduling process was underway. Both schools have a scheduled bye week on October 3.

Head Coach Brian Kelly said Tuesday that the health and safety of student-athletes continues to be the main priority at Notre Dame.
