Police: Vehicle/buggy crash caused by sleepy driver

Two people were hurt after a Goshen man said he fell asleep while driving and crashed into an Amish buggy.

The collision happened around 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, Sep. 20, on County Road 33 south of County Road 16 when the vehicle rear-ended the buggy, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver and passenger in the buggy were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car was not injured.
