The University of Notre Dame announced Tuesday afternoon that the scheduled game with Wake Forest for September 26th was postponed after seven additional positive COVID tests were announced for the team on Monday.

There are currently 13 players in isolation, and 10 in quarantine.

The ACC and Wake Forest were notified and the rescheduling process was underway. Both schools had a scheduled bye week for October 3rd, but the ACC has a strict quarantine and contact policy of 14 days, and Wednesday morning it was announced that the game will happen on December 12th.

Head Coach Brian Kelly said Tuesday that the health and safety of student-athletes continues to be the main priority at Notre Dame.
