Dead dog found zip-tied inside cage at Miami Hills in South Bend

South Bend Police and the South Bend Animal Resource Center are looking for information about a dead dog that was found zip-tied inside its cage.

The Animal Resource Center says the dog was found dead in its cage at Miami Hills Apartment complex.

The cage was placed on bark, surrounded by plants and branches, with the door of the cage firmly zip-tied shut.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact either the South Bend Animal Resource Center at (574) 235-9303 or Michiana Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP.
