South Bend Art Wall in need of repair

via www.visitsouthbend.com

A local organization is working to raise funds to help repair, repaint, and even rebuild part of The South Bend Art Wall along Niles Ave and E. Jefferson Blvd. The wall, which features murals from local artists, has been the target of property damage and has suffered weather damage as well. Fundraising to help the wall has been affected by the pandemic.

Graff Bash CEO Alex Van Galder is running a GoFundMe page for the wall, its description reads:

The South Bend Art Wall is located on S Niles Ave and East Jefferson Blvd, in South Bend, Indiana .  The Wall is used by artists in the surrounding areas to promote art and share their talent with the community.  Between wear and tear, property damage and removal of paneling, the Art Wall is in need of restoration. We are raising funds in order to rebuild the Wall. The owner of the property is considering removing the Wall if we are unable to raise the funds to make the repairs.

Previously, the repairs were completed through one small business, Van Galder Murals and some existing sponsors including Robert Weed Corporation and Sherwin Williams.  Now the cost is such that we will need additional funding in order to make the necessary repairs.
