Woman, 47, found dead on Webster Street in South Bend victim of a homicide

A woman found dead during a welfare check is the victim of a homicide. Police were called around 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11, to the 1500 block of Webster Street in South Bend where they found the body of Enedina Sohlke, 47.

An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday for Sohlke and the forensic pathologist determined her cause of death to be blunt force trauma and her manner of death to be homicide.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. So far, no suspects have been arrested.
