The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against four individuals in connection with the March 3 shooting death of Alan Diaz, 19, in the 1600 block of North Elmer Street in South Bend.

James Edward Birtcher, III, 19, of Columbus, Ohio, is charged with murder and a felony firearm sentencing enhancement. An arrest warrant has been ordered issued and he is currently being sought.

Oliver Mulenga Bwalya, 22, of Elkhart, is charged with aiding, inducing, or
causing murder.

Oluwatomipe Jeremiah Makanjuola, 19, of Columbus, Ohio, is charged with murder, and a felony firearm sentencing enhancement.

Adonis Zakeydaryll Harris, 17, of Columbus, Ohio, is charged with murder, and
a felony firearm sentencing enhancement.

Bwalya, Makanjuola and Harris, are currently in custody in Michigan on unrelated matters.
