The three men running for governor will debate one more time, one week before the Nov. 3, general election. Tuesday night’s debate will follow the same rules as the one last week, with all candidates in separate rooms and the moderator in another.

Last week the Indiana Debate Commission changed the debate to a format that they are calling “virtual”, even though it’s happening at the WFYI studios in Indianapolis. Democratic candidate Dr. Woody Myers had called for the candidates to be tested for coronavirus. The Debate Commission has no authority to force such testing.

No one other than the candidates, moderator and crew are allowed onsite, which means reporters will not be there to question any of the three candidates.

Last week Republican incumbent Gov. Eric Holcomb, Myers and Libertarian Donald Rainwater, debated in the exact same manner.

The moderator for this debate is Nadia E. Brown, associate professor and University Faculty Scholar of Political Science and African American Studies at Purdue University.

The questions for this debate were submitted by the public with a publicized deadline of Oct. 15 then selected by members of the Indiana Debate Commission board, said a news release from the Debate Commission.
