Grace College student, 20, didn’t die due to COVID-19

An autopsy has revealed the cause of death of a student at Grace College.

Bethany Nesbitt was found dead in her residence hall Friday morning.

Kosciusko County Coroner Anthony Ciriello says the 20-year-old died from pulmonary embolus that had not been previously detected.

Pulmonary embolism is blockage in one of the pulmonary arteries in your lungs.

Ciriello said while coronavirus did play a role in contributing to the death, it was not caused by coronavirus.
