The South Bend International Airport’s 9th annual Bears in the Air event kicks off Friday night with a virtual celebration.

It’s a program that provides teddy bears each year to kids in five hospitals in the area, and assistance for veterans at the Robert L. Miller Sr. Veteran’s Center. Donors can make a 20 dollar donation online through the end of Thursday for a chance at winning prizes during the virtual kickoff Friday evening at 6.
