The St. Joseph county Health System is moving its COVID-19 testing site starting on Monday. The new site is a familiar one, the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds. Right now they are currently operating out of a location off Elm Road that is often very crowded.

It’s not a cheap move, WNDU reports that renting the fairgrounds is going to cost 76-hundred dollars a month through the end of February. County Commissioner Andy Kostielney  says the current site is seeing up to 400 people a day.

WNDU also says the county is working on an online pre-registration system to avoid onsite paperwork, but there are no firm announcements to make yet.
