A Fighting Irish football standout has been honored with one of College Football’s top individual prizes.
Notre Dame linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has been named the top linebacker in the nation with the annual Butkus Award.
Namesake Dick Butkus surprised the player in a virtual meeting Monday morning. Three domers have won the Butkus in the last ten years, with Jaylon Smith earning it in 2015, and Manti Te’o winning the honor in 2012.
