Mishawaka is now home to a private school for young soccer players

A plan is underway to turn the former YMCA building on Edison Road in Mishawaka into a new private high school for soccer players.

Ethan Hunt, the director and founder of the International Soccer Academy of America tells WNDU his organization is the first soccer-specific academy for American and foreign soccer players in the states that’s actually a school.

The facility is aimed at giving 14 to 18 year-old students a leg up on and off the field, providing a quality education in the classroom and hopefully grooming the next generation of professional soccer players.

Hunt is a Michiana native who earned a Master’s Degree at Bethel.
